Q. How did the EarthCalm products come about?

A. The inventor, Jean Gallick was trained in science and philosophy at the University of California UC Berkeley, BA Developmental Psychology, UC Santa Cruz, advanced to PhD candidacy, History of Consciousness.

Her research however was done not in a lab, but in her home. Her tools of observation were not microscopes or test tubes but her own body. The issue was not theoretical or humanitarian; it was intensely personal and demanding. She had what we now call electrosensitivity, but which can be summarized as being under the weather all the time, with weekly surges into migraine headaches and bouts of debilitating indigestion. Once her focus shifted from what supplements to use to what was causing the distress in the first place her life changed. The cause was the AC electricity and microwave radiation.

Her methodology consisted of 1000’s of trial and error experiments. Success was not measured on a gauss meter but by improvement in the debilitating symptoms with which she was plagued: reduced headaches, better sleep, improved digestion and normalized blood pressure.

Q. What do EarthCalm products do?

A. EarthCalm products are designed to protect the human nervous system from the hazards of manmade EMFs, which include our AC electrical grid as well as microwave radiation (cell phone towers, WiFi, broadcasting stations). They do this by enhancing a person's connection to the earth's electromagnetic field. This connection is in essence a ground, which by definition allows for the dissipation of biologically meaningless and stress producing currents. Many people will actually feel this deeper connection to the earth as a sense of calmness and peace. Q. What might I feel with EarthCalm products?

A. Initially, many people experience a brief moment of dizziness. Some people notice warmth or even a flush as their relaxing nervous system releases tension allowing for the dilation of their blood vessels. More blood flows to the brain. When this dizziness or flush normalizes in a few moments, people often report a sense of calmness and warmth and a sense of peace. Chronic pain often subsides (carpal tunnel, arthritis, old injuries, headaches, etc.) within a few minutes to an hour of using our products. A. Many products are available on the internet which address the importance of grounding the human body to the earth. Grounding in this context has also been called ‘earthing.’ Earthing or grounding is important for human health in two fundamental senses.

1. Grounding allows for the positive flow of energy and information between the human body and the earth.
   
   
2. Increased grounding also allows the body to rid itself of the chaotic and unhealthy (biologically meaningless) currents induced by our electrical system and all manmade EMFs.

Q. What is Resonance?

A. Resonance is created when one frequency rises or lowers to come into rest with another frequency. The power of the principle of resonance is such that each frequency is changed by the presence of the other frequency until a form of union is established. Resonance will be established by the lowering of one frequency or the rising of the other until a flow of energy and information is established that allows for a reciprocal exchange. To understand resonance we must expand our notion of people as objects in space and time that are unconnected to each other and unconnected to the earth. The latest understanding sees each person as an EMF field embedded within the EMF field of the earth.

EarthCalm products utilize the electrical law of resonance to amplify your connection to the earth, thus facilitating the flow of energy and information between you and the earth. A simple example can be used to demonstrate the principle of resonance.

Imagine yourself, with all your hopes and dreams, beliefs and fears, sitting at the ocean during a beautiful sunset. Your frequency will be lifted. And some authorities state the frequency of the ocean may alter as well until resonance is established as you come into a kind of union with the ocean. You and the ocean will come to a peace. Although you may not actually dive into the ocean, nonetheless the vibratory rate of your biofield (the EMF field surrounding your body) will change until resonance is established. At this point, then information and emotions can be transferred from one system to another. A kind of channel is created that allows for the flow of energy between you and the ocean. A more familiar example of resonance occurs when the wire antenna on your FM radio picks up an FM broadcast many miles away. Energy with embedded (modulated) information is transferred from the broadcast station to the short wire on your radio which is actually set in motion by the broadcast. There is no wire that connects your FM antenna to the broadcast station. Your FM antenna is designed to resonate with the wave lengths of the radio broadcast, i.e. the antenna actually moves or vibrates in concert with the radiation coming from the broadcast station. Your speakers then 'demodulate' (transform) the information carried on the waves and rebroadcast this information as music.

Because resonance transfers energy as well as information, it can also be used in a destructive fashion. For instance, Caruso the famous opera singer was famous for knocking a glass with his spoon to discover its resonant frequency. Then he would sing that exact note and break the glass. The resulting resonance between his voice and the glass would cause all the molecules of the glass to vibrate so strongly that the glass would break.

The AC grid in which we all live impacts our nervous system in three ways. One way is by virtue of proximity. If you sleep with your head within a few feet of your clock radio, its field will cause a stress response in your brain. If you move your radio 5 feet away its stress producing effect is greatly reduced.

The second way is through induction. Induction is an electrical term that describes the core principle of how electricity is generated. Whenever a magnet is moved back and forth, electricity is induced or generated in any nearby conductor. This principle is a mystery. No one really understands why it works. We only know that it works. Because AC electricity is an electromagnetic field that is alternating or pulsing back and forth, biologically meaningless current is generated in our nervous system.

The third way our AC grid creates a stress reaction in our nervous system is due to the principle of resonance. Because the frequency of our nervous system (4-15 Hz) is so close to the frequency of our manmade electrical system (60Hz), resonance can be established such that a certain amount of energy is transferred from the wiring to the cells of the body. This resonance between the house wiring and our nervous system allows for the transference of energy that has many detrimental biological effects. One of the best studied is the activation of the body's stress response. Another effect is the destabilization of the body's calcium, lithium, potassium and magnesium balance, which governs calmness, mood, and memory as well as being involved in most of the chemical reactions in the body.

EarthCalm circuitry, when introduced into the AC system of a home, strengthens the resonance between the nervous system and the earth's electromagnetic field, thus breaking the resonance between you and your AC wiring or that cell phone tower or your refrigerator.

Q. What are the EarthCalm circuits?

A. All EarthCalm products have geometric circuits that function as antennas. All scalar products have the precise matching of each circuit to its mirror. Instead of the antenna being a length of wire or a dish, the EarthCalm circuits are geometric shapes that reflect the electromagnetic structure of the earth. Examples of some of the geometric shapes used in EarthCalm circuits are the sphere, the torus, and the spiral. The sphere reflects the spherical shape of the earth, the torus reflects the shape of the earth's EMF field, and the spiral reflects the path of the earth through space. The Lakhovsky Oscillating Circuit is one of our basic seven geometric circuits; it is disussed more extensively in the next Q&A. The EarthCalm geometric circuits are found in the Scalar Home Protection System, in the Home/Office Protector and in the OMEGA WiFi.

EarthCalm has developed two other circuits that we use in our products. The Vortex Transcircuit is based on the electrical principle of resonant transformers. It is found in the Multi-Phase BedShield, and the OMEGA WiFi. The Vortex Transcircuit creates a voltage fence that further protects a person from manmade EMF radiation. It requires that a person is physically within the circle or vortex of protection, as in the BedShield or OMEGA WiFi.

The third EarthCalm circuit is the Diamond Element, which functions in the Scalar Home System and the OMEGA WiFi. The Diamond Element is based on the double pyramid, which incorporates the healing and balancing ratios that are embedded in the construction of physical reality.

These shapes have been carefully calibrated and constructed out of different conductors and semi-conductors to amplify resonance. In a linear electrical circuit, current moves through a wire to do work while on its way to its opposite polarity. In resonant or geometric circuits, energy fills a three- dimensional space, and vibrates in resonance to the source. The resulting benefit is the synergy or oneness of the two or more vibrating sources--in this case, you and the earth.

The notion of geometric circuits that create an increased bond with the earth and convey healing as well as a sense of calmness, elation and mental clarity is an important discovery. The development of laser lathes has made possible the creation of perfect miniature spheres and other intricate geometric shapes in large quantities. It is likely that many earlier societies, such as ancient tribes in Africa and Egypt, utilized these grounding principles with their elaborate gold and precious stone jewelry.

Q. What is the Lakhovsky Oscillating Circuit?

A. Georges Lakhovsky was a Polish scientist who in the 1920s experimented with using electricity as a way to heal people of cancer. He wrote The Secret of Life in which he offered one of the first conceptualizations of the electromagnetic qualities of the earth. He theorized for instance that birds took migratory clues from voltage differences in the earth’s atmosphere. He also attempted to understand the electromagnetics of underground rivers and different rock formations, coining the term 'geopathic stress.' He suggested that certain geological features such as soil composition or underground rivers might have negative impacts on human health.

Lakhovsky thought that cancer was caused by certain cells vibrating out of harmony with the others. If you could restore the correct vibration to the diseased or cancerous cells, you could heal people of cancer. He developed a particular circuit that healed many people before his laboratory was shut down as quackery. At first he used a generator to vibrate his circuit, but then he discovered that the circuit vibrated by itself as a result of resonance. Lakhovsky also theorized that cosmic radiation provided the resonant blue prints for all life on earth. He visualized each cell's DNA as a vibrating transmitter/receiver of information. The first EarthCalm circuit is modeled on the Lakhovsky oscillating circuit. Like the Lakhovsky circuit it is based on a spiral formation and is resonant with the electromagnetic field of the earth.

Q. What is Scalar Resonance Technology?

A. EarthCalm developed Scalar Resonance Technology as an exact matching of 7 EarthCalm circuits with another set of 7 circuits to exponentially increase resonance to the earth.

A scalar wave is by definition a wave that is exactly matched by another wave, i.e. has the same frequency and the same height or amplitude but has the opposite direction, such that one wave exactly cancels out the other. Imagine two waves in a pond of the same frequency and amplitude but coming from different directions. When they meet in the middle of the pond they cancel each other out. One might see a flat area in the middle of the pond where the two opposing twin waves met. The result however is not zero, but rather another dimension is accessed.

The concept of scalar waves began as a mathematical necessity to balance equations. They were thought of as potential waves that existed everywhere at once. Scalar waves have now been observed to exist and today are used to understand and enhance healing (see James Oschman, Energy Medicine: The Scientific Basis). It is an interesting and exciting new concept: when two energy fields exactly balance each other or cancel each other out, a dimension is accessed that is everywhere at once and has the power to heal.

A biological example of the generation of scalar waves can be found in the brain, when the left and right sides of the brain come into balance. A person who has access to both sides of their brain is generating scalar waves and is therefore more in touch with higher levels or higher dimensions of functioning.

Another example of the biological generation of scalar waves occurs when the left and right sides of the human nervous system are working together in balance. Imagine a perfectly balanced spine. The left side of the body would be perfectly balanced by the right side. There would be no scoliosis (abnormal curvature of the spine) or slumped shoulders. Such a person's spine would be generating scalar waves each time the person moved or held themselves in a balanced state. Such a person would be more grounded or tuned to the earth's electromagnetic field and would more than likely have good health and would not be as affected by the detrimental effects of AC generated EMFs. On the other hand many cases of spinal curvature may be caused in part by the AC grid.

Most of us, having grown up within the grid of AC current, have varying degrees of spinal imbalance. The concept of scalar waves activated by a balanced spine would help explain why some people are more electrically sensitive than others. Also, some children may have grown up in more heavily exposed areas (such as near high tension lines or power stations) than others resulting in spinal curvature.

A. EarthCalm products do not generate any one particular frequency. The Schumann Resonance or EVE (Earth's Vibrational Energy Field) is the guiding frequency or source of resonance. Q. What is the Schumann Resonance? Who is EVE?

A. In 1952 the physicist W. O. Schumann discovered that the space between the crust of the earth and the ionosphere created a cavity that resonated like a musical instrument. Visualize a sphere and now visualize a smaller sphere within the first sphere. The space between the two spheres is the musical instrument or resonating cavity. Now think of this spherical instrument as a spherical flute.

Every second 200 lightning strikes occur somewhere on earth in order to keep reestablishing electrical balance between the earth and the ionosphere. These lightning strikes energize the 'flute' and vibrate the resonating cavity. The 'flute' vibrates waves that bounce off the ionosphere and then off the earth, back and forth. The resulting 'song' incorporates information from the upper sphere of the ionosphere which reflects the universe. For instance, astronomical changes would reflect differing amounts and spectra of light that would impact or bounce off the ionsphere from the outside. All this information would be modulated into the ionsphere and then picked up and contribute to the song of the spherical flute. Likewise, all information about everything that occurs on earth would have an impact or modulation into the EMF field of the earth as the waves bounce back and forth between the crust of the earth and the ionsphere. Usually this 'music' is described in terms of its beat or frequency. The beat frequency is called the Schumann Resonance.

Schumann discovered that within this cavity an electromagnetic field oscillates at a resonant frequency of 7 to 10 beats per second. This is identical to the optimal functioning of human brain waves.

In 1978 Bob Beck discovered that individuals of many different religious backgrounds all had similar alpha brain wave patterns between 7 and 8.6 Hz during meditation, similar to the resonant frequency of the earth. The Schumann Resonance might be imagined as a radio station that provides a type of wave guide to awareness and optimal biological functioning. It is likely that the nervous system of the human being evolved in relationship to the Schumann Resonance, which, among other things, functions as a timing mechanism for optimal biological functioning.

This wave guide is not empty, but rather is embedded with information from the entire universe. The rhythm like the beats of a drum holds within it a symphony that each of us receives and interprets in our own way. Imagine the changing light of a star or the light of the changing moonlight impacting the ionosphere in a way that can be decoded or heard by the human brain. Likewise, on the side of the earth's crust, the other side of the musical instrument, all activity on earth modulates its bit of information, whether an action or a thought, into this vibrating field. To be tuned to the earth's electromagnetic field is to be literally tuned to the universe.

Following in the footsteps of James Lovelock, who named the earth Gaia after discovering many mechanisms of planetary balance that could not be explained by physical mechanisms, we might rename the electromagnetic field of the earth to reflect its content or broader meaning. A more accurate name of this earth broadcast might be the Earth Vibrational Energyfield or EVE. Receiving and interpreting (demodulation) of EVE might occur at different levels, one being biological and sensory, but other interpretations might utilize poetry or music. At the very least, we all rely upon EVE for many basic biological timing mechanisms and a sense of fundamental well being.

Anything we can do to strengthen our resonance to the Schumann Resonance or, if you prefer, to EVE, would be of tremendous value to our overall health and to our ability to heal ourselves.

Q. Is the Schumann Resonance speeding up or slowing down? Will my EarthCalm products need to be retuned?

A. EarthCalm products are not tuned to work with a specific frequency. They utilize geometric antenna that resonate to (receive) the information encoded or modulated into the Schumann Resonance or EVE. The circuits or antennas are based on geometry and not upon linear length or focalization. Therefore EarthCalm products receive the information regardless of the specific frequency. There may be many harmonics of that base frequency that can be explored as one heals one's nervous system from the effects of the AC grid. The higher harmonics may hold information not discernable in the base frequency. EVE holds or has modulated into it information from the ionosphere as well as from the crust of the earth. The possibilities are endless.

Many people are concerned that the Schumann Resonance is speeding up, which might impact the use of EVE as a wave guide that helps people come to peace. First, there is no evidence that EVE is increasing (it has a broader range than previously thought). Second, the effects of AC electricity and the ubiquitous use of cell phone towers and other microwave towers does indeed create an atmosphere or field of anxiety that directly causes stress reactions in the human nervous system. Perhaps this is what is mistakenly being thought of as a slowing down or lack of connection with the Schumann Resonance.

Q. Why do your products work for a wide range of health-related problems?

A. Before 1920, we primarily lived electrically embedded in the earth. Starting in the 1920s the U.S. and most of Europe and Canada were electrified. Therefore, you were most likely conceived (unless you are older than 80) within a manmade EMF environment and have been exposed to this your entire life. Tesla won the battle with Edison to establish our electrical systems on an AC grid. Little thought or experiment was given to the impact of AC EMFs on the human nervous system. Standards were based on the theory that only those EMFs that had a frequency high enough to generate heat needed regulation. Subsequent studies have shown however a wide range of interactions exist based on the electrical principle of resonance.

1. First the scientific research. Our house electricity creates a subliminal state of constant stress that over time degrades the immune system. A wide range of studies has documented the debilitating effects of AC induced stress on the immune system.
   
   
2. Manmade EMFs also paralyze the body's electrically based healing system, which is more commonly called the acupuncture meridian system. Robert Becker, MD, has described in detail the analogue nervous system that surrounds the much studied regular or digital nervous system we are all familiar with (vision, hearing, touch, pain, etc). Q. What is Cyclotronic Resonance?

A. Cyclotronic Resonance states that if two lines of AC current come together in a square grid, as in the wiring of a home, energy can be transferred from the spinning electrons (charged particles) in the wiring into the spinning ions (electrolytes) in a person’s nervous system. This will happen if the frequencies are close enough. We have chosen 60 Hz in our homes which is close enough to our biological frequencies (average of 10) for resonance to be established.

The biological effects of this energy transference are substantial. These effects explain in part the far reaching and yet hidden effects of EMFs on human health. When resonance is established between the house wiring and your nervous system, spinning ions, such as calcium, potassium, sodium and lithium, which normally govern cell metabolism, are kicked out of the cell into the bloodstream where they are deposited in the joints or eliminated.

Calcium, potassium and lithium are ions that in addition to cell metabolism govern calmness, mental clarity and mood stabilization. Our home protectors modulate information into the current in a way that is similar to how talking on a phone works.
